KINTURU | Celadon Green Classical Goddess Relief Ceramic Vase

A figure from antiquity, preserved in porcelain and gold.

✦ ABOUT THIS PIECE

Tall, composed, and layered with narrative detail, this ceramic vase carries the visual language of classical European porcelain into a contemporary decorative object. The body is a graceful elongated oval — narrow at the neck, gently widened through the mid-section, and tapering again to a slim foot ring — a silhouette that reads as naturally upright and refined from across a room.

At the centre of the vase, a gold-bordered oval aperture is pierced entirely through the body — an architectural void that creates depth and draws the eye inward. Surrounding this opening on the front face, a full bas-relief figure of a classical goddess or muse is rendered in white bisque against the celadon ground: robes in motion, one arm raised, posture mid-stride, carved with the fluidity of neoclassical sculpture. Flanking the figure, and wrapping across the back of the vase, cascading sprays of blossoms and fine branches are rendered in white relief with every stem, petal, and tendril traced in bright gold line work.

The celadon glaze — a soft sage green with subtle variation across the surface — provides a quiet, sophisticated ground that allows the white relief and gold detailing to read with maximum clarity. The opening rim is finished with an undulating gold wave edge; the base carries a fine gold ring line.

✦ KEY FEATURES

🌿 Pierced Oval Window — A gold-edged elliptical aperture passes through the centre of the vase body; structural, architectural, and visually unexpected in a tall classical form

🌿 Classical Goddess Bas-Relief — A full white bisque relief figure of a neoclassical muse or goddess occupies the front face of the vase; rendered in fluid, sculptural detail against the celadon ground

🌿 Gold-Traced Floral Branch Relief — White blossom and branch motifs in raised relief cover the surrounding body; every stem and branch is traced in bright gold line work; visible and detailed from every angle

🌿 Celadon Green Glaze — Soft sage celadon with natural glaze variation; a classic ground colour in European and East Asian fine ceramics; high-gloss finish

🌿 Gold Wave Rim & Base Ring — Undulating gold wave edge at the opening; fine gold ring at the base foot; high-quality ceramic, handcrafted details, non-toxic and safe, long-lasting beauty

✦ STYLING NOTES

🌸 Pink and cream roses, white carnations, small-headed wildflowers, and eucalyptus sprigs complement the celadon palette without competing with the relief detail

🏛️ The classical goddess figure pairs naturally with neoclassical interiors, French Rococo furniture, oil paintings in gilt frames, and spaces that reference European fine arts traditions

✨ Fully displayable without flowers — the front and back surfaces are both richly decorated; the back botanical relief is as detailed as the front figure composition

🎁 A distinguished gift for those who appreciate fine ceramics, classical art, and objects that carry genuine narrative content

✦ CARE

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. The white relief figures and gold branch tracery are raised from the surface — avoid abrasive cloths that may catch on the relief detail or dull the gold line work. If used as a functional vase, pour water carefully. Do not submerge. Do not place in a dishwasher.
